Dokitscript respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Dokitscript is a tool that transcribes audio from media you choose to submit; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to transcribe that content. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable law.
If you believe that content processed or made available through Dokitscript infringes a copyright you own or control, please send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected] that includes all of the following:
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and, where applicable, notify the user who submitted it.
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to [email protected] including: identification of the removed material and its prior location; your contact information; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court; and your physical or electronic signature.
In appropriate circumstances, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
In addition to the DMCA framework above, users and third parties located in the European Union may report allegedly illegal content — including content that infringes copyright — under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). The same point of contact applies:
To be actionable under the DSA, a notice should include:
We will process DSA notices diligently and in a timely manner. Where appropriate, we will inform the person who submitted the notice of the outcome of our assessment, and notify the user whose content is concerned, to the extent required by applicable law. Where a decision is taken to remove or restrict access to content, the affected user may have the ability to contest that decision by contacting us at the address below.
Abusive or manifestly unfounded notices — whether under the DMCA or the DSA — may be disregarded and may expose the submitter to liability.
