Honest review
Rev, where it falls short for creators
Rev is known for accurate human transcription. But for content creators, the cost model is punishing.
Rev$0.25/min AI · $1.50/min human
Rev's AI transcription at $0.25/minute and human transcription at $1.50/minute can get expensive quickly for creators who produce frequent content. There's no free plan to try the service, no URL paste for social videos, and no AI features beyond the transcript itself.
No free plan, every transcription is billed from the first minute
Per-minute pricing is unpredictable, costs scale with video length
No AI features (summary, captions, blog posts, translation)
Human transcription at $1.50/min is expensive for regular content creators
